Rekeningen van onbekende instanties
Zo nu en dan worden er rekeningen door "onbekende instanties" rondgestuurd naar octrooihouders voor het registreren van hun octrooipublikaties in databanken. Voor het registreren van octrooien is enkel betaling aan de nationale octrooiraad (en de ingeschakelde gemachtigde) vereist.De nationale octrooiraden nemen de data op in hun eigen databanken. Deze data wordt eventueel aangeboden aan Inpadoc en/of commerciele databank aanbieders (bijvoorbeeld STN, Questel-Orbit, Dialog). Hiervoor hoef je niets extra te betalen. De onkosten voor de nationale octrooiraden zijn verwerkt in de taxen die je aan de octrooiraad betaald (bijv. indienings-, beoordelings- en verleningstaxe). De kosten voor de commerciele databank aanbieders worden betaald door de gebruikers van die databanken.
U wordt dan ook geadviseerd dergelijke rekeningen voor ongevraagde registraties niet te betalen.
