Na ontvangst van uw aanmelding ontvangt u een bevestiging, adres en route beschrijving.
De bijeenkomst is voor iedereen toegankelijk.
Bedrijven die geen WON lid zijn, kunnen vanaf 28 mei deelnemers aanmelden (na verwerking van de wachtlijst met WON leden).
Het maximum aantal deelnemers is 40. Aanmeldingen zullen worden behandeld in de volgorde van binnenkomst.
Allereerst worden per bedrijf 2 vertegenwoordigers toegelaten.
Bij aanmelding van meer dan 2 deelnemers per bedrijf, worden de extra aanmeldingen op een reservelijst geplaatst en toegelaten (wederom in volgorde van binnenkomst) indien het maximum aantal deelnemers nog niet is bereikt.
Aan deze bijeenkomst zijn voor de leden geen kosten verbonden.
Echter,aanmelden verplicht wel tot komen.
Claim interpretation
In het onderdeel Claim interpretatie wordt stil gestaan bij verschillende manieren om een product/apparaat te claimen en in welke mate de verschillende manieren beperkend zijn. Een aantal vormen worden geoefend aan de hand van korte cases waarin dient te worden beoordeeld of de prior art een gegeven claim anticipeert. De cases zijn vooral op nieuwheid gericht.
The Claim Interpretation part focusses to different methods of claiming a product/apparatus and the limiting effect this may have with respect to the prior art. Some of these will be will be practiced using short cases with aimed at assessing whether the prior art anticipates a given claim. These cases are mainly novelty oriented.
Problem-solution Approach
In het onderdeel Problem-solution approach wordt een overzicht gegeven van deze door het EPO gehanteerde redenering om uitvindingshoogte objectief vast te stellen. In het bijzonder wordt stil gestaan bij het kiezen van de closest prior art. Dit wordt weer geoefend aan de hand van een aantal korte cases.
In the part Problem-Solution approach an overview is given of this way of reasoning used by the EPO to assess inventive step in an objective manner. Emphasis will be on the key step of selecting the closest prior art. This will be practiced with a number of short cases.
Jelle Hoekstra, Delta Patents
Jelle Hoekstra graduated in Mathematics, specializing in Industrial Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Groningen (1986). In 1990, Jelle joined D2B Systems Co, Ltd. in Redhill, UK as the technical manager. He got involved in patents and licensing of IPR while working at D2B, a company which was heavily reliant on its intellectual property rights. In 1995, Jelle joined the Philips Patent department (IP&S) as a patent attorney (trainee). He gained his Dutch patent attorney and European patent attorney qualifications. Within Philips, in addition to patent creation and prosecution, he also managed various IPR issues in these fields.
In 2001, he co-founded DeltaPatents, a private patent practice in Eindhoven which provides the highest quality advice and service to public and private companies at various stages of growth from start-up to Fortune 500. DeltaPatents is also a leading training organization for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE), required to be a European Patent Attorney.
Jelle is a senior tutor in many courses on the European Patent Convention (EPC), specializing in substantive patent law (e.g. novelty, inventive step and added subject-matter). For the EQE training he is a tutor for the Legal papers and the Opposition paper. Jelle is also a tutor for the courses for Formalities Officers.
He is the author of “References to the European Patent Convention”.
